About Me

Born and raised in Wigan, I began my career in care, looking after adults in their own home, care homes and hospital. I have always had a passion for helping and caring for others.

In 2018, I had to take a break from my role as a carer, due to a decline in my own mental health. I was struggling severely with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and anxiety, and I believed I would never be able to work again.

This changed in 2020 when I decided to enroll onto a degree into my dream career - counselling and psychotherapy (professional practice). I had nothing to lose. My experience of becoming a counsellor was truly life-changing for me. I learned how to have acceptance and compassion towards myself, something which I had never had.

Yes, there were hurdles along the way but I am proud to say that I completed my degree and qualified as a counsellor. I am now a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and run my own private practice.

What I love most about being a counsellor is the ability to continuously grow, both personally and professionally. This continuous development allows me to offer a space that can be healing and life-changing for clients. As a result, this helps them on their supportive journey to change.

I have a special interest in inner-child work, bereavement and loss, trauma and anxiety disorders. However, this list is not exhaustive and I am able to offer support in other areas.

In time, I want to complete my qualification in counselling supervision to further enhance my career.
